BNB Smart Chain monitoring uses chain ID 56, not Ethereum. Blocks land about every 3 seconds, and the webhook is sent after the transfer is confirmed, not while it is pending. Track native BNB and BEP-20 USDT or USDC. An Ethereum monitor will not see these BEP-20 transfers, even when the 0x address text matches. Amount filters drop dust before a credit is spent. opBNB is a separate Layer 2 (chain ID 204) — monitor it on its own page if the transfer is on opBNB, not BSC.
What is specific to BNB Smart Chain alerts
- When the alert is sent
- Chain ID is 56. Blocks are about 3 seconds apart. The webhook is sent after the BNB or BEP-20 transfer is confirmed, not from the mempool.
- Address format
- BSC uses 0x addresses, like Ethereum, but the chains do not share balances. Create the monitor on BNB Smart Chain or the transfer never matches.
- Tokens on this network
- Native BNB and BEP-20 USDT and USDC. A BNB-only filter does not alert on USDT, and an Ethereum ERC-20 monitor does not see BEP-20 transfers.
