Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 14, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes what data we process when you use Chain‑Monitor (the “Service”), why we process it, who we may share it with, and your rights. This Policy applies to the website and the Service dashboard.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What Data We Process
2.1. Account Data
We process: email, password hash, and optional details you provide (e.g., name).
2.2. Profile & Notification Settings
If you configure notifications, we process delivery parameters: webhook URL (if provided), channel toggles, and Telegram integration data (e.g., chat id/username) if you connect Telegram.
2.3. Monitoring Data
To provide monitoring, we process data you configure in the dashboard: public wallet addresses, selected networks/tokens, minimum thresholds, monitoring status (active/paused), and related settings.
Important:
The Service does not request and should never receive private keys/seed phrases or wallet passwords. The Service operates on public addresses and public blockchain data. However, some data may be considered personal if a public address can be linked to an identified user.
2.4. Notifications & Event Data
For diagnostics and history, we may store notification details: status (sent/failed/pending), technical identifiers (e.g., correlation id, message id), error text, and event data (e.g., tx hash, network, direction, amount) including parts of payload.
2.5. Credits Data
The Service uses a credits model. We process your credits balance and credits transaction history (type, status, before/after amounts, description, metadata) for correct operation and support.
2.6. Technical Data
When you access the Service, we may process technical data such as IP address, user agent, request time, session identifiers/access tokens (e.g., JWT), error logs, and performance metrics. This is used for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
3. Purposes of Processing
- account creation/management, authentication, and security
- providing monitoring and sending notifications (webhook/Telegram, etc.)
- maintaining reliability, troubleshooting, and improving quality
- credits accounting and abuse prevention
- handling user inquiries and support
4. Legal Bases (where applicable)
If GDPR or similar laws apply to you, we process data based on: (a) performance of a contract (providing the Service); (b) legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, product improvement); (c) consent where required (e.g., certain integrations/settings).
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share data only as necessary to operate the Service:
- infrastructure providers (hosting, databases, monitoring/logging) as processors
- Telegram if you enable Telegram notifications (message delivery)
- to your webhook endpoint when we send notifications to your URL
- when required by law or competent authorities
6. International Transfers
Data may be processed in countries different from yours depending on infrastructure and providers. In such cases, we aim to apply reasonable safeguards (e.g., contractual obligations with processors).
7. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Typically, account/settings data is retained until account deletion, while technical logs are kept for a limited period.
8. Security
We use organizational and technical measures to protect data (access controls, monitoring, backups, etc.). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing, object, data portability, and withdraw consent. To exercise your rights, use the Contact page.
10. Cookies & Local Storage
The Service uses technical mechanisms (e.g., localStorage/cookies) for authentication and UI operation (access tokens, settings). If analytics/marketing cookies are introduced, we will update this Policy.
11. Children
The Service is not intended for individuals under 18. If you believe a child provided data, contact us via the Contact page.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes may be accompanied by an in‑app notice.
